Nurturing beauty, joy and community through intimate gatherings
Making life beautiful, One Memorable Gathering at a time
In the Japanese Culture, there is a concept called Kintsugi. It’s a type of art form that fixes broken pottery with gold.
“Instead of throwing away the broken beloved pottery, it’s fixed in a way that doesn’t pretend it hasn’t been broken but honours the breaking—and more so, the surviving—by highlighting those repaired seams with gold lacquer.”
In essence this is what HOSTED is to me. It’s my attempt at creating beauty from a space of navigating deep loss and brokenness. In yearning for beauty and joy in my life, I was reminded of how being a host and curating experiences had been a big part of what made my life beautiful. And so the idea of HOSTED was born.
HOSTED is also my love-letter to women. I want us to be brave about nourishing our joy. I believe that when women do the essential work of prioritising their joy, societal narratives shift. HOSTED is not just about setting the table, it’s about setting the stage for women to thrive!

We Believe in holding space For Joy
As we navigate through post-pandemic recovery, the collective desire for connection and meaningful interaction has never been more pronounced. To combat the unending sources of anxiety, people are searching for moments of joy, escapism and belonging. HOSTED is a brand rooted in nurturing joy and we believe that hosting and gathering is a pathway to that. HOSTED is a response to society’s deliberate gravitation towards joy in the face of continued hardship globally.
We believe in Living Beautifully
There is a worsening gender burnout gap. Women face the highest levels of burnout due to societal pressures, work demands, and the expectation to juggle multiple roles, leaving little room for self and prioristing intentional self-care. HOSTED believes that every woman has the right to a beautiful life.
HOSTED is therefore an invitation to women to live beautifully by cultivating the practice of intentional gathering as a form of self-care.
We Believe in the artistry of women
Central to our mission is the elevation and celebration of women’s experiences. Inspired by Litema, a BaSotho art form rich in geometric beauty and cultural significance, HOSTED is built on the belief that women have an innate ability to make things beautiful. HOSTED celebrates and amplifies the artistry of women in relation to food, design, and hospitality.
